HOW I WORK
Following a documentary approach to photography, I’m always looking for light, gesture and interesting moments that catch my eye during my sessions. I offer gentle guidance as needed and I can provide you with prompts for movement and play, rather than setting you up in formal or awkward poses. The result is photographs that feel like real life, capturing a moment in time. So whether you’re looking for family photos, maternity, motherhood, creative or artist studio sessions I follow the same approach, communicating as much as my clients want to prior to a session to prepare and feel comfortable. I also take on a small number of intimate elopements or events and love to travel if you’re based out of South Australia just reach out!
Photographing with film is more than just an aesthetic choice for me. What started as a fun way to document my own family shape shifted into an ongoing personal creative practice and my medium of choice with for hire work. I appreciate how film slows me down during my sessions, valuing each and every frame I shoot. It makes me more aware of light and composition, pushes me outside of my comfort zone and always inspires me to experiment and play!
Following the analog process all the way through and including prints with my sessions and designing custom photobooks for my clients, is so important to me. I believe that your photos are destined to live outside of your devices. They should be stuck on the fridge, the pin board, framed or put in a photo box. The photobook living on the coffee table, out for the kids to flick through, or tucked away safely for when they're older. A keepsake treasure of this moment in time.

Our session together; either at your home or out in nature, allow 30-45 minutes.
With a single roll of either colour or black & white film, we work together to create movement and connection. Focusing on an intimate moment or moving between scenes to tell your story authentically.2-4 weeks after our session you will receive 25 high resolution photos delivered via your very own personalised gallery ready for downloading & sharing. Plus 10 matte art prints at 6"x4" will be shipped directly to you from locals, Atkins Lab in Adelaide.

Our time together; best split between time spent inside and out. You can have activities planned if there are routines or rituals you want to have captured. Or we can go with the flow, I love to let kids lead the way and show me all their favourite things to do at home!
I recommend starting inside at home and then heading out into your garden or taking a walk together down the street to a park or cafe. Allow 90+ minutes for us to really slow down, be present and lean into the moment.
During our session I will shoot across a range of cameras, some with flash and use a mix of both colour and black & white film stocks. I love getting kids to take photos with my cameras and love to think that I’m encouraging some up and coming photographers!
2-4 weeks after our session you will receive 75 high resolution photos delivered via your very own personalised gallery ready for downloading & sharing. Plus beautiful prints from locals, Atkins Lab in Adelaide, will be shipped directly to you. This includes 10 matte art prints at 6"x4" + 3 matte art prints at 8"x10" - ready for framing. -
